BC Hydro Rebates and the 2026 Rate in Rose Valley
Rose Valley is BC Hydro territory, supplied through the Westbank substation like the rest of West Kelowna. A Rose Valley homeowner can claim $1,000 per kW of panels, up to $5,000, plus up to $5,000 toward a battery enrolled in Peak Saver. The one catch is order: BC Hydro has to accept the self-generation application before installation, or the rebate is lost. We file it first.
Since July 1, 2026, new systems in Rose Valley go on BC Hydro’s self-generation rate. Surplus you export is credited at 10¢/kWh each billing cycle, while solar you use yourself saves 11.87–14.08¢.
