Our commitment

We want this site to work for everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology.

What we have done

The site is built to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, including:

• Semantic HTML and a logical heading order on every page
• Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, and text descriptions on charts and diagrams
• Black, white and grey colour pairs measured at or above AA contrast for text and controls
• Full keyboard access with a visible focus outline and a skip-to-content link
• Form fields with visible labels, and a savings estimator that works with a keyboard and falls back to a table without JavaScript
• A layout that works at 200% zoom and on small screens
• No flashing or auto-playing content, and reduced motion respected

Known limitations

Accessibility work is never finished. Some third-party components, such as the spam-protection widget on our forms, may not fully meet our target. When we find a gap, we fix it.
